Directed by Jodie Busby

Peter Pan was first performed in 1904 as a Christmas Play, written by J.M. Barrie. In 2007 the Children's Theatre Company re-imagined it as a puppet show with 6 live actors intended to modernise the language and reduce theatrical requirements.

The design was intended to blur the line between the real and the imagined: child's play. A boy can play a fairy and girls at being pirates.

Wendy and her daughter Jane have just moved into Wendy's childhood home - and there are packing boxes everywhere...

Who among us did not sail on seas in a cardboard boat? Or fight with swords of cardboard tubes? Our crocodiles had tails of egg cartons, and our clouds of cotton wool.

Because of the tightness of the design period, I experimented with a 'virtual model box'
