Egraphsen

 

 

 

Egraphsen means "Drawn or Painted by..." in Ancient Greek. 

It shares the same root as our modern 'graphite'.

It is rare to find a vase marked 'Egraphsen' - it shows pride and craftmanship in a fragile, transient art.

 

For me, Egraphsen means hand-drawn, painted with care and designed with diligence. Everything I design I am proud to place my mark, my 'egraphsen' on, even in our ephemeral world of theatre design.

 

Epoisen means "Made by..." in Ancient Greek

I have signed things "Epoisens" as those that I have made by my own hand.
